Roof Drain Sump Pans Increase Contractors Production & Reduce Labor Costs

HAVING THE RIGHT ROOF DRAIN SUMP PAN TECHNOLOGY IS KEY:

Building a better sump pan

First, if you understand that the current sumping technology is to build a wood sump box (the subject of another post) for the roof drain, you will see right away that the roof drain pans developed by Roof Drain Pans Co. can be installed in a fraction of the time and at less cost.

Using Prefabricated parts is the standard

Consider this: in the plumbing trade products are generally a completed item. A water heater, a pressure regulator, a toilet etc. You don’t need to fabricate these things on the job. This, however, was not the case with roof drain sump pans. There was no prefabricated sump pan on the market that you could buy over the counter when you purchased your roof drain. Therefore the only solution, or most commonly used solution was to assemble all of the materials to build a wood box and somehow sump it in the roof.

As a plumbing contractor we built these cumbersome and laborious monstrosities because we had to. Roof drain sump pans simply didn’t exist! When we finished building the wood box, we discovered that the sump receiver that IS supplied with a roof drain over the counter DIDN’T FIT BETWEEN THE JOISTS!. Another problem. All of these problems added up to wasted hours of production time on the job.

All of that changed when I developed the roof drain pan series you see on this website. Cut the hole and drop in the assembly in 10 minutes for most pans.

HOW TO INCREASE PRODUCTION:  Install six roof drains per hour as opposed to 1 or 2 small wood boxes. Add in all of the time to assemble the lumber, hardware. roof drain and roofing materials BEFORE you even arrive at the jobsite.  AND, if you built a large double roof drain pan, I’ve seen guys wrestle for two hours trying to figure it all out. Do all of this rather than drop in a sump pan and wasting valuable production time.
